Ruaumoko

Kia Ora Whanau We are doing our Kahu Whakaewarangi on Ruaumoko. He is the atua of volcanos and earthquakes. Did you know when he burps earthquakes or eruptions come out of his mouth! Did you also know that Ruaumoko is still in his Mum Papatuanuku's puku? Do you know how long he has been in there? He has been in his mums puku since Papatuanuku and Ranginui were separated. That's when everyone except his brothers were born.Do you know why Ruaumoko is still in his mums puku? He is still in his mums stomach as thats the only thing Papatuanuku still has left of Ranginui. Our kahu is black and red. The red and orange at the bottom represents the magma. The red feathers represent the lava and the black koru are the fire boulders.
