Forces

This week we have been learning about what Forces are and what they do. Forces are when you push and pull things,Stop things and when it changes directions. Some other things we learnt was that the sun produces heat and light,Gravity is a force too. Gravity helps us to stay on the ground so that we don't float away into outer space. The wind is the force for changing directions because the wind always changes what way it wants to go. We also learnt about Paper planes when it uses air pressure.Lift is the force that acts at a right angle,Thrust is the force that propels a flying machine,Drag is the force that acts opposite to the direction of the thrust and Weight is the force of gravity that acts in a downward action. We made paper planes to see who's would stay up in the air the longest and it doesn't matter if your paper plane has big wings or little wings it just about how much air pressure you use.Sometimes if you use to much air pressure your plane will just go straight to the ground.
